Consume Raw Vegetables

Fresh and raw vegetables are great for your overall health. They also have high fiber content, are low in fats and calories, and are rich in vitamins. Chewing on raw vegetables helps improve blood circulation in the gums, and leads to healthy gums. Adding raw vegetables to your diet is therefore recommended.

Wheatgrass and Cranberry Juice

Cranberry juice has antibacterial properties which can help fight bleeding gums. However, you must take care not to use the cranberry juices which are available in supermarkets as they have sugar and preservatives added. Consume fresh cranberries or use home made fresh juice.

Use Clove Oil

Clove oil has been used for centuries as a natural remedy for the treatment of gum diseases like gingivitis. Take a drop of clove oil and rub in onto your gums. You can even chew on a piece of clove to cure the disease. It might give a burning sensation, but it will fix the problem.

Salt Gargles

Use Baking Soda or Sodium Bi Carbonate

Natural Oils

Natural oils like sage oil, peppermint oil, tea tree oil, black seed oil, and extra virgin olive oil, all have been proven effective in treating gum disease and prevent bleeding gums. Brush your teeth with a few drops of peppermint oil or sage oil to keep your mouth refreshing and clean.

Tea tree oil has anti-bacterial properties. Adding 1 to 2 drops of tea tree oil in lukewarm water and swishing it around your mouth for a minute can be effective.

Extra virgin olive oil is the best treatment for inflamed gums. It contains oleic acid and other flavonoids which have anti-inflammatory properties. Swishing 1 teaspoon of olive oil in your mouth three times daily washes away all the toxins.

Black seed oil is known to be a miracle cure for gum diseases as it has anti-microbial properties. Swish the oil in your mouth for some time, or add a few drops of it in lukewarm water to make an effective oral hygiene solution and use it regularly.

Apart from these remedies, use of honey, cayenne powder, and aloe vera, are also effective solutions to treat bleeding gums.
